Great story, loved the journey through the lives of these boys as they grew into men. How fate and circumstances changed each one. Alisa
I believed this story proves that it is the goodness chosen by people even in dark times that stands out in history. I really enjoyed how the characters were developed.
Mr. Jeppsen's descriptions of events and how people looked were so vivid that you could just see exactly what he was trying to convey. I read this book in three days--couldn't put it down.
This book is one of the best books I have ever read! I Loved it! Its a super fast read because something interesting is happening the whole way through! I loved the characters and the way the author writes! This book is filled with love and honor so the reader walks away feeling really good! I wasn't ready for it to end, and I can't wait to read another one by this same author!
Field of Blackbirds is a great book! It is backstopped against ethnic cleansing that happened in Bosnia in the early nineties. But what is fascinating about the story is that it gives you several point of views. You see it from the American side, Bosnian side and many others.
I'm a huge fan of books that tell their story in a unique way. This book is absolutely one of them.
I recommend picking it up, you won't be disappointed.
